The Ballinderry Shamrocks man insists he’ll continue to line out for his club until he’s 40, however.

DERRY FOOTBALLER Conleth Gilligan has called time on his inter-county career today.

The 32-year-old Ballinderry Shamrocks man insists he’ll continue to line out for his club however.

“Decided to call it a day for Derry, it’ll be strange and I will miss it, still intend to play club till I’m 40, met  great people on the way,” Gilligan tweeted today.

The playmaking forward made his intercounty debut in 1999 and finishes up with two national league titles to his name.
