OVER 1300 GAELIC football players from Ireland, Europe and the USA took part in the PhoneWatch Comórtas Peile Páidí Ó Sé 2014 this weekend, with over 40 adult mens and ladies club teams descending on the Dingle Peninsula.
This year was the 25th anniversary of the event.
Cora Staunton led All-Ireland club champions Carnacon to victory for the third year in a row in the Senior Ladies Cup. The nine-time All Star amassed a personal tally of 5-12 in the final against Foxrock Cabinteely, with a final scoreline of 6-17 to 3-7.
Ballincollig defeated Dingle in the Dermot Earley Senior Men’s Cup 1-13 to 0-11 having overcome Galway’s An Cheathrú Rua in the semi-final.
