Signed, sealed and delivered: Coleman pens new 5-year deal with Everton

The 24-year-old Donegal native says he’s “over the moon” upon signing the contract.

SEAMUS COLEMAN HAS signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract with Everton, which lasts up until the summer of 2018, it has today been confirmed.

Speaking to Everton’s official website, the Ireland international expressed his delight at the news, saying: “I’m over the moon. I’m glad to get it all done and to sign for so long at a club like Everton is a great achievement - I want to be here for as long as possible.

"Signing a contract here is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to the next couple of years.

"I'm going to keep working as hard as I have done since day one and keep improving every day in training to impress the manager.

"I'm really happy to have signed for the length of time that I have."

The 24-year-old is regarded as one of the club's brightest prospects, and has also won nine caps for Ireland.
