Seamus Coleman out of Everton's FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United

The Ireland defender limped off during his side’s recent draw at Southampton.

EVERTON MANAGER ROBERTO Martinez has revealed that Seamus Coleman will play no part in their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

The Ireland defender was a doubt for the game all week having limped off with a hamstring injury during the Toffees’ recent 1-1 draw with Southampton.

However, the 27-year-old has not recovered in time for the Wembley encounter but the news is better in relation to John Stones who is expected to play.

On top of Coleman, Martinez will definitely be without Ramiro Funes Mori who was shown a red card for his tackle on Divock Origi during this week’s Merseyside derby while doubts remain as to the fitness of Phil Jagielka and Gareth Barry.

Everton go into the FA Cup semi-final on the back of six games without a win in all competitions and Martinez firmly in the hot seat.
