Davy Fitz names unchanged Clare side for All-Ireland hurling replay

It’s more of the same for the Banner ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Croke Park.

CLARE WILL START with an unchanged side in the All-Ireland hurling final replay against Cork.

With no fresh injury worries following their U21 title defence, Davy Fitzgerald is free to name the same XV that started the sides’ thrilling 0-25 to 3-16 draw.

David McInerney, Colm Galvin, Tony Kelly and Podge Collins all starred in that underage win a fortnight ago and now have a chance to add a senior All-Ireland on Saturday evening.

But there is no place yet for Shane O’Donnell who was rumoured to be in contention for a starting spot in the full-forwards.

The Eire Óg teen has been involved with the senior panel throughout the season and has 3-2 to his name including goals against Waterford, Laois and Wexford.

Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy last night made one change to his own starting XV. Cian McCarthy starts at half-forward in place of Jamie Coughlan.

Clare (SH v Cork): Patrick Kelly; Domhnall O’Donovan, David McInerney, Cian Dillon; Brendan Bugler, Pat Donnellan (c) Patrick O’Connor; Conor Ryan, Colm Galvin; John Conlon, Tony Kelly, Colin Ryan; Podge Collins, Darach Honan, Conor McGrath.
