Clare and Limerick name U21 Munster football semi-final teams

Clare will play Tipperary while Limerick take on Cork.

CLARE AND LIMERICK  have named their teams for Wednesday’s Munster U21 football semi-finals.

The Banner take on Tipperary in Milltown Malbay and will be captained by Kilmihil wing-back Stan Lineen.

Senior stars Jamie Malone and Martin O’Leary will once again be the danger men for Clare as they take on David Power’s side.

Clare team to play Tipperary: Darren Sexton (Kilmurry Ibrickane); Conor Brennan (Eire Og), Enda Ralph (Ennistymon), Jack O’Dea (Kilfenora); Stan Lineen (Kilmihil), Eoin Brew (O’Curry’s), Liam Corry (Eire Og); Darragh McDonagh (St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay), Ciaran Devitt (Ennistymon); Darragh Bolton (Kilrush Shamrocks), Luke Brannock (St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield), Niall Hickey (Kilmurry Ibrickane); Jamie Malone (Corofin), Martin O’Leary (Kilmihil), Eoin Cleary (Miltown Malbay).

Meanwhile the Limerick team to take on Cork in tomorrow’s other semi-final has also been named and features Gearoid Hegarty, Danny Neville and Mike Fitzgibbon who have all been involved with the county senior side in recent weeks in the league.

Limerick team to play Cork: James O’Mara (Fr Caseys); Alan Finnegan (Na Piarsiagh), Kevin Brosnan (Monagea), Ryan Meagher (St Patricks); Tony McCarthy (Kildimo-Pallaskenry), Kieran Larkin (Banogue), Stephen Cahill (Mountcollins); Gearoid Hegarthy (St Patricks), Sean O’Dea (Kilteely-Dromkeen); Mike Fitzgibbon (Feohanagh-Castlemahon), Danny Neville (Askeaton-Ballysteen), Ryan Glynn (Bruff); Kevin Moore (Glin), Jason Mullins (St Patricks), Sean McSweeney (St Kierans).
