Clare name 8 senior finalists for U21 hurling decider vs Antrim

The Banner have plenty of big names as they look to clinch back-to-back underage titles tomorrow.

CLARE BOAST EIGHT players involved in last week’s senior decider in their team for tomorrow’s Bord Gáis Energy All-Ireland U21 hurling final.

David McInerney, Colm Galvin, Tony Kelly and Podge Collins all started the drawn game against Cork while captain Paul Flanagan, Seadna Morey, Peter Duggan and Shane O’Donnell were among the substitutes in Croke Park.

The Banner, who are 1/66 favourites to clinch back-to-back titles against underdogs Antrim in Semple Stadium, show just one change from the semi-finals.

Aaron Cunningham, who was rated this week by management as “less than 50/50″ to recover from a hamstring tear, is replaced by Cathal Malone at wing-forward.

Kevin Ryan has named an unchanged Antrim side for tomorrow evening. The Saffrons shocked Wexford in the semis to become the first Ulster county to appear in an U21 hurling decider.
