Stander makes a little bit of Munster history with second Player of the Year award

Another day, another award for CJ.

CJ STANDER’S MAGNIFICENT season in red was recognised again this afternoon as he was named Munster Player of the Year, making history as the first man to scoop the award two years in a row.

It is the latest in a long list of honours for the South African who also won IRUPA Players’ Player of the Year, Supporters’ Player of the Year, and was named in the Pro12 Dream Team last week.

Rory Scannell collected both the Young Player of the Year and Academy Player of the Year awards at the event, which took place in the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs in Cork.
