In fairness, there weren’t any challengers
Fair play to you cj you deserve it , a fine captain that always leads by example and doesn’t go to the coin toss wearing flip flops and head phones to scare the opposition captain
Why can you not just celebrate CJs award for what it is without having to denigrate another player? Also if CJ has half the career and medal haul of the flip flopped one he’ll be doing ok.
Declan, that was pathetic. Grow up.
Yeh, but look how many likes he got. They’re a precious bunch down there.
Insult Heaslip = green thumbs
Insult CJ = you’re as troll.
Anyway, I’m sure Heaslip doesn’t care. He has 3 Heineken Cups and 3 League titles to his name with Leinster. It’ll be 100 years before Munster accumulate that number of medals from 2016 onwards.
Hey pub Murphy , where did I mention heslip in my comment ? I didn’t , you are the one that brought heslips name into this as that is who I was referring to ? why were You thinking heslip ? Why is everyone with their comments referring to heslip and why are ye all thinking the same thing and I am supposed to be pathetic , all thinking the Same thing but don’t have the balls to say it that’s pathetic
Bitter is a great word to describe you. How’s the midtable parade?
So that’s all you are able to say , wow as I thought an uneducated bull shitter that has never played rugby
Gary , that was my reply to AMF not to you or any of the other genuine Leinster fans , he’s a sly bolliox with his digs ,my reply was to him
So are you murphy ,the man that has all the answers but never played rugby you gob shite
A dick is the best way to describe you, are you still holding daddy’s hand going to the games so he can explain to you how this game is played/ works ,
You were asked on this site before and you would not answer the question in full so what’s everyone supposed to think or do you suffer from memory loss ,,bull shitter is what you are and look back at your previous posts , played rugby my bolliox,
Yes I am I played under 20 at 15 years oid ,,said d you ?!
Some ass hole Murphy
How is he the first Munster man to win it twice in a row? Some achievement given the quality of player Munster has had over the years!!
Finally some recognition for Waterpark youth setup. We have a great setup to u18s and the big university clubs come poaching. Great for the guys to get some rewards.
Wouldn’t have got on either the heino cup winning teams
Right yeah!!
CJ Stander wasn’t good enough for the Boks so why is he good enough for us?
Watch him play and see why ,thankfully south africa had a brain fart
SA didn’t have a brain fart. Look at their back rows. I’m not having a go at Stander, just look at the quality they have. One of your form back rows is a reject. Harsh but true.
Think the Boks management told him to jog on because they said he is too small for them, not because he is/isn’t good enough.
Too small in rugby union is the same as not good enough.
He’s a cracking player. It’d just that the Boks reckoned he was too small so he decided to give Ireland a go. Good luck to him.
Still I don’t like the idea that if your not good enough for NZ, SA or Australia you’re good enough for us.
Too small, explain Peter stringer so??
That’s your opinion, but the Books didn’t say he wasn’t good enough for them, in fact there is an article on the42 with CJ Stander where he says that he was told he isn’t big enough to play for the Boks, nowhere that I could see, is it mentioned that he isn’t good enough.
Meyer didn’t say he was too small to be a bok. He said he was too small to be a bok back row. He was encouraging CJ to switch to hooker. Either way, their loss….
Stringer is the exception that proves the rule. Funny you didn’t mention Conor Murray.
Rugby union players are getting bigger and bigger with every passing season. Did you see the size of the Montpellier forwards last night?
There will still be the odd Peter Stringer or Shane Williams but there will be less and less of them. In intense contact sports size wins more often than not.
They wont see it as a loss. The Boks like em big and Stander was just too small.
Why would I mention conor Murray?, surely he’s the exception for a scrum half not stringer who wouldn’t be that far off most other scrum halves around the world sizewise
No, you are dead right. Rugby players, particularly back rows are getting smaller every year.
Aah sarcasm the lowest form of wit.
Where did I mention anything about backrows?
So I can take it I was right about stringer and smaller players.
Oh yea Japan got to the WC semi did they?
This myth again. He was the baby boks captain and was called up to the senior side in 2012 at the age of 22 but was thankfully never selected on the matchday squad. They quite clearly valued him and saw him as a future springbok.
CJ Stander is a stone heavier than Sean O’Brien and about the same height. Is Sean O’Brien too small as well?
Looks more like the Cork Rugby Awards judging by where all the winners come from….
I hope you’re never asked to drive a bus to Corca Dhuibhne or Waterpark
NZ, Aus, and south Africa all have foreign born players in there team.
@ Hugh Mullen
So what. We should row our own boat. What others do is their business. It wouldn’t occur to the Argentinians for a second to bring in mercenaries
