The man in black! CJ Stander loses his jersey but still scores Munster's opening try

“It was good camouflage – I don’t think they saw me anyway.”

Updated 19.05

NOTHING WAS GOING to stop CJ Stander from scoring — especially not the loss of his jersey.

The big South African back row barrelled over on 16 minutes for the opening try of this evening’s Guinness Pro12 clash against Leinster.

Stander was stripped of his shirt in an earlier phase as Munster pushed and probed their way towards the line.

But he carried on to take the pass and forced his way through the last line of Leinster’s defence.

Stander explained: ”I had my jersey over my head so I thought, ‘Get it out and see if maybe I can run without it.’

“It was good camouflage! I don’t think they saw me anyway.”

Remember this — you may need it at a table quiz in the future.
