At Citi Field, where the New York Mets were hosting the Washington Nationals, the crowd forgot about the action on the field upon hearing the news and broke into chants of ‘U-S-A, U-S-A’.

The celebrations continued with a stadium singalong to Sweet Caroline, the traditional ballpark anthem of the Boston Red Sox.
