UP-AND-COMING Irish footballer Ciaran Duffy first came to our attention when he featured on RTÉ’s The Saturday Night Show in 2012.

The young Shamrock Rovers schoolboy, from Saggart in Dublin, appeared with Brendan O’Connor and former Ireland physio Mick Byrne to show off his eye-catching freestyle skills and now the 10-year-0ld is starring in a new World Cup ad for McDonald’s.

Speaking to Ray D’Arcy on Today FM yesterday, Ciaran’s father Michael told how the YouTube videos of Ciaran which he uploads (and have attracted over six million views) had caught the eye of a production company in Hollywood.

They arranged a Skype call, which went well and Ciaran was flown out to Rio de Janeiro for filming.
