This Legends League star could be facing Ireland at the Women's World Cup

Former gridiron player Chloe Butler should make her Australia debut against New Zealand or Canada next month.

CHLOE BUTLER IS a remarkable athlete — she has represented her country in track and field, played American Football in Los Angeles and is in line for an international rugby debut with Australia.

The 26-year-old is one of 15 uncapped players named in Australia’s 26-woman squad. The women’s team go by the Walleroos moniker Down Under.

Butler can player at either lock or flanker plays for Parramatta Two Blues and already gained sporting attention for stint with the Legends Football League in the United States. Butler starred as a defensive end and wide receiver for Los Angeles Temptation. Before that, she was a talented hurdler who represented her country at underage level.

Australia will play Canada and New Zealand [aka The Black Ferns] in an upcoming Tri-Nations tournament. She will be hoping to cement her place in the Walleroos’ World Cup squad. The tournament takes place, in France, this August. Australia are in Pool C while Ireland are in Pool B. The two sides could cross paths in the knock-out stages if results go their way.
