SPURS MIDFIELDER MOUSA Dembele has been charged for an “alleged act of violent conduct” during his side’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Monday night, an ill-tempered fixture that has also resulted in both clubs being charged with breaches of failing to control their players and officials.
The incident involving the Belgian midfielder was not seen by officials during the game but was picked up on video.

The 28-year-old appeared to poke Chelsea’s Diego Costa in the eye and in a statement today the FA said his behaviour “constituted violent conduct in circumstances where the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient.”
He has until 6pm on Thursday to contest the charge.
Meanwhile, both Chelsea and Tottenham have been charged with three breaches of FA Rule E20 for failing to control their players and/or officials.
The charges related to incidents in the 45th and 87th minute and one after the game was over at Stamford Bridge.
The clubs have until 6pm on Monday 9 May to respond to the charges.
