Chelsea will have 38 players out on loan after another hectic deadline day at Stamford Bridge

Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Betis and Aldershot are just three of the clubs Chelsea players will be on loan to this season.

THE RETURN OF former defender David Luiz to southwest London may have generated the most headlines from a Chelsea perspective yesterday, but there were a host of players leaving Stamford Bridge too, albeit on a temporary basis.

USA international defender Matt Miazga and Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado were among the standout players to leave Chelsea on loan on deadline day, to join Vitesse Arnhem and Juventus respectively, although Cuadrado’s move will be a three-year spell that effectively ends his time at Stamford Bridge.

Some of the other big movers throughout the window were Loïc Rémy joining Crystal Palace and Patrick Bamford linking up with Burnley. While highly-rated defender Andreas Christensen can look forward to a two-year spell at Borussia Mönchengladbach. In total, there is a staggering 38 players out on loan from the club.

When the club season resumes after the international break, Chelsea will have players operating in all four of the English leagues, as well as non-league side Metropolitan Police.

It’s not just in England that Antonio Conte will be monitoring his players, with the club having loanees in eight different countries spanning two continents. You can see the full list of Chelsea’s loan stars here.
