A BRITISH FOOTBALL fan has been for three years from attending matches worldwide after he was found guilty of racially abusing Didier Drogba.
Stephen Fitzwater was found guilty at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Monday and banned today from all games in Britain and abroad.
The 55-year-old Fitzwater was sitting among the Chelsea fans at last month’s FA Cup semi-final when he was overheard abusing the Ivory Coast striker. Blues fans reported him to stewards at Wembley and he was arrested by police.
Chelsea have also banned Fitzwater for life, saying “the overwhelming majority of our fans abhor all forms of discrimination.”
