Charlie Adam has clearly been taking inspiration from the League of Ireland

The Stoke player is not the only individual to score a wonder goal in the past few days.

YOUโ€™LL ALMOST CERTAINLY have seen, or at least heard about, Charlie Adamโ€™s wonder goal for Stoke against Chelsea at the weekend.

Yet youโ€™re less likely to have come across Brian Nolanโ€™s similarly spectacular strike in Waterford Unitedโ€™s 2-2 draw with Shelbourneโ€ฆ

Whatโ€™s more, itโ€™s not the only Adam-esque goal on Irish shores of late, with Jimmy Bradley catching Galway goalkeeper Ger Hanley off his line during Cockhill Celticโ€™s recent 4-2 loss in the EA Sports Cup.

So take a bow, Messrs Adam, Bradley and Nolan in what was clearly a good week for audacious efforts.

And thatโ€™s not even counting this superb effort by St Patโ€™s player Greg Bolger against Derry from 24 March.
