THE CHAMPIONS CUP kicked off last weekend and was every bit as exciting as its predecessor, the Heineken Cup. There was no shortage of sublime tries either, with a great mix of team scores, like Tommy Bowe’s for Ulster, and individual brilliance, like Christian Wade smoking Ian Madigan.
There were some excellent tries there but there was also some great pieces of commentary. First, you had the Sky guy getting a frog stuck in his throat during Northampton’s try (also, what a show and go by Pisi!) and then you had the BT commentator give us, ‘OHHHH, he’s absolutely done Madigan!’ in Leinster vs Wasps.
What was your favourite try? So many to choose from, which is a good omen for the tournament going forward.
