RESURGENT CAVAN HAVE moved firmly into the promotion picture in Division 2 of the Allianz Football League.
The Breffni men collected their third successive victory in the second tier tonight, seeing off hosts Fermanagh by 1-12 to 0-9 at Brewster Park.
That man Seanie Johnston continued his impressive form in 2016 with a crucial 1-1 haul.
Johnston’s 48th minute goal was crucial as Cavan moved second in the table behind pacesetters Tyrone as Fermanagh’s relegation worries increase.

Fermanagh cut the deficit to just a point with a Tomás Corrigan free early in the second half but Cavan stepped on the gas and Johnston’s goal gave them a real buffer.
In Division 3, meanwhile, Limerick are staring relegation in the face after slumping to a fourth defeat from five matches.
