THE KILKENNY SENIOR hurlers will be relieved by news that Richie Power has not suffered cruciate damage to his knee.
The 26-year-old was stretchered off during Carrickshock’s league match with James Stephens on Saturday after a fall and it was initially feared that he would be out for the remainder of this season.
However, a scan has confirmed that the injury is in fact cartilage-related meaning he is likely to miss between six and eight weeks.
Power is definitely out of Sunday’s NHL final meeting with Cork but will be hopeful of recovering before June 23rd, when the Cats begin the defence of their Leinster title.
