'No one grows up wanting to be a Gary Neville' - Carragher on MNF

The Sky Sports pair also gave their opinion on the Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard debate.

THERE WAS ANOTHER classic exchange between Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville last night.

While previewing the entertaining draw between Swansea and Liverpool, Reds legend Carragher suggested that all full-backs are either failed wingers or failed centre-halfs.

He then took his point a step further by claiming that no aspiring young footballer “grows up wanting to be a Gary Neville”, which got a chuckle out of his opposite number and presenter Ed Chamberlain.

The pair were also asked to discuss who they believed was the best player out of England trio Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. Guess who they went for…
