Speedster Carlin Isles to join Glasgow Warriors in Pro12 -- reports

Despite signing a ‘futures’ deal with an NFL franchise, Isles could get his rugby union chance this season.

US SEVENS RUGBY star Carlin Isles has reportedly agreed to join Glasgow Warriors.

The player often dubbed ‘the fastest man in rugby’ has been the subject of much speculation since he began burning up the Sevens circuit.

Isles has already signed a ‘futures’ contract with the Detroit Lions, but until the NFL outfit take him up full time he is free to try his hand at another code, namely rugby union.

Today’s report from RugbyMag.com says that Isles could be released from the four remaining IRB Sevens tournaments this season to play in the Pro12 with Glasgow.

Whether he is able to sign a longer term deal in Scotstoun remains to be seen, but the prospect of Isles in a back three with Stuart Hogg and Sean Maitland before the season closes is, if nothing else, an exciting prospect.

Here’s a quick catch-up for anyone unfamiliar with Isles.
