CARL FRAMPTON BAITED Kiko Martinez by warning the Spaniard that his European super bantamweight title is like his hair — he’s losing it.
But Martinez bit back at today’s pre-fight conference by claiming that the unbeaten Frampton is too scared to fight away from his home turf in Belfast.

The two finally go head-to-head in the Odyssey Arena this Saturday after Martinez twice pulled out of fights and Frampton is firm favourite with bookmakers to dethrone the man who famously knocked out Bernard Dunne inside 90 seconds.
“I’ve come here because Frampton was too scared to come to Spain,” Martinez said.
“Frampton didn’t want to leave Belfast for anything. I have always fought away and that shows that I am not a coward like they say I am. We’re not scared to go anywhere and I never have been.
They are trying to sell in Belfast something that doesn’t exist — Carl Frampton is not a good boxer.
The current Commonwealth super bantamweight champion, Frampton won Irish national titles at both flyweight and featherweight as an amateur as well as European Union silver in 2007.
Elsewhere on the card Martin Lindsay and Lee Selby clash for the British and Commonwealth super featherweight titles while Andy Lee returns to the ring for his first fight since defeat to WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last June.
Lee comes up against Dubliner Anthony Fitzgerald in a 10-round clash while Jamie Conlan, older brother of Ireland’s Olympic bronze medallist Michael, is in super flyweight action against Mike Robinson.
