Gemma O'Connor is named Camogie Players' Player of the Year

The Cork defender was dominant this year.

GEMMA O’CONNOR has been rewarded for another impressive defensive showing in this year’s championship by picking up the Camogie Association/WGPA Players’ Player of the Year.

The Cork defender, who collected her seventh All-Ireland senior camogie medal with victory over Galway in September, was handed the award at the Citywest Hotel this evening.

Paudie Murray of Cork also won the Liberty Insurance Manager of Year award having won back-to-back titles after coming up short in his first two years in charge.
