THE COPA LIBERTADORES witnessed the unveiling of the biggest flag ever at a sporting event when fans of Nacional unveiled a 600m-long and 50m-high banner during their 4-0 win over Mexican side Toluca.

It took Nacional, the club where Luis Suarez made his name, a year-and-a-half to make and is nearly twice as long as the previous record, held by fellow Uruaguans Penarol.
