Cage Warriors on rocky road to Dublin

British MMA company’s Irish chief confirms plans to bring show to Dublin this year.

CAGE WARRIORS, ONE of Europe’s biggest MMA promotions, have confirmed they’ll soon be bringing their show to Dublin for the first time.

The UK promotion, which is run by Irishman Graham Boylan and has provided several fighters to the UFC, has been hosting MMA events since 2002 but has expanded significantly since Boylan took the reins just over 12 months ago.

MMA is currently considered to be the fastest growing sport in the world and in the last year alone, Cage Warriors has staged eight successful shows in three different countries.

The next stop on their journey is Amman, Jordan for Cage Warriors Fight Night 2 at the 2,000-seater New Boxing Arena on September 8. However, Boylan has confirmed that a Dublin show is on their schedule for the very near future but has refused to reveal further details.

He said: “Cage Warriors in Dublin will be happening soon and we’ll have some very nice surprises for MMA fans. There are still some bits to be tied up on this so I can’t say too much but the MMA community will be both shocked and very happy when I finish the deal.”

Cage Warriors have live TV broadcast deals with Setanta Sports in Ireland, Premier Sports in the UK and Fight Now TV in the USA. Keep an eye on www.CageWarriors.com over the coming weeks and months for details of the promotion’s debut Dublin show.
