Bundee Aki could face suspension after misconduct charge

The Connacht star is set to attend a Disciplinary Hearing in Cardiff via video link tomorrow.

CONNACHT STAR BUNDEE Aki has been formally charged with misconduct by the Disciplinary Officer of PRO12 Rugby following remarks he made to referee Ian Davies during his side’s clash with Leinster earlier this month.

As a result, the 27-year-old centre is set to attend a Disciplinary Hearing in Cardiff via video link tomorrow, involving a panel that will consist of two members, Roger Morris (Chair) and Simon Thomas (both Wales), which has been approved by Connacht Rugby.

Should the complaint be upheld, Aki could face a fine and/or a suspension.

During the game in question, the official could be heard warning Connacht captain John Muldoon about his teammate talking back, saying: “John, let’s turn Bundee’s volume down a bit.”
