“SEE YIZ IN Coppers,” seems an unlikely candidate to go down as one of the great GAA quotes but two years later and Dublin star Bryan Cullen still finds people shouting it back to him in the street.

“[People still shout it] a little bit, yeah. Particularly with kids. Kids tend to shout it at me a lot.”

Cullen didn’t realise the impact his words would have at the time though.

“It was just kind of spur of the moment.

“As I’ve said before, since I’ve been involved with Dublin we go back there and we’re either celebrating or drowning our sorrows.

“I suppose it’s the first thing that came into my head after winning the All-Ireland, that we were going to be partying for a while. That’s where it spawned from.”

Cullen, who is unsure of start for Dublin as they look to win their second football title in three years on Sunday, was also coy on whether he got one of Coppers’ infamous Gold Cards, simply saying that the club always looked after the Dublin team.
