Brosnan handed Kerry captaincy for upcoming season

The Dr Crokes man takes over from his club-mate Colm Cooper in the role.

EOIN BROSNAN HAS been named as captain of Kerry’s footballers ahead of the 2013 season, it has been confirmed.

The Dr Crokes player takes over the captaincy from Colm Cooper, who held the role for the last two campaigns.

Meanwhile, it has also been announced that Kieran O’Leary will be the side’s vice captain.

Kerry endured a disappointing 2012 campaign, losing out to eventual winners Donegal in the All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.
