PEYTON MANNING AND the Denver Broncos don’t look particularly strong this season but somehow — somehow — they are 2-0 after a miracle escape on Thursday Night Football.
The Broncos trailed the Kansas City Chiefs 24-17 with just over two minutes to play last night when Manning took the ball and drove his team the length of the field.
With 40 seconds left on the clock, he fired this 19-yard pass to Emmanuel Sanders for a touchdown and the Broncos tied things up at 24-24.
At that point, the game looked set for overtime although some smart clock management and a few big plays from the Chiefs would have put them in position to kick a field goal and escape with a win.
But then star running back Jamaal Charles did this on the very first play of the next drive and, with a second TD in the space of nine seconds, the Broncos had pulled off a unlikely 31-24 win.
They’re already looking for his successor
Levy has to learn that his job is to sign the chequebook, that’s his job. Wish him well, he did ok in So’ton but I really hope we don’t have another Moyes on our hands…

Unlikely unless he somehow gets a say in their transfers, unlike any of his recent predecessors…..besides Shaw’s preferred destination is Chowski whom just released ‘not so worth it anymore’ Cole for whom he would be an ideal replacement!

I doubt he’ll be getting rid of Townsend. Young pacy player. He’ll play a high pressing game to win the ball high up the pitch like Southampton did this year. If employs the same tactics he did this year with Southampton and gets spurs defence sorted then I can see them making a solid challenge for 4th place with the squad they have.
That has been Spurs’ problem for a while now. Too many English players in the squad, and piss poor ones at that.

I’d love to know what the expectations are from levy for next season,can’t see them breaking into the top four,Chelsea are likely going to spend big,city have £50 million to spend,can’t see Manchester United being as poor as the season gone,liverpool are likely to strengthen,and for once I see arsenal buying a good few players,it’s only everton they can overtake in my opinion..I think pochettino should of turned it down.

Chelsea have been shoe in’s for every season for the past decade but they still finished 5th the year they won the CL. United were shoe in’s up until last season.

For of a club of spurs size ! spurs are a small club with a stadium capacity of 40,000 no where near as bigs as some clubs in the premier league. Until their new stadium is built they will remain a small club who can’t afford to match the wages of the big players that’s why they can not hold onto to them.

Typical spurs appointment, chap has done reasonably well if slightly above mid table is the criteria. He will be there 12-18 months before being sacked, then compensation payouts for him and the back room staff. Getting sacked by spurs doesn’t a manager any harm these days, it’s taken as a given! Sell their best players, replace with inadequate squad players.. Then sack the manager…. Then Repeat every 18 months

Bit of a nothing signing really. An average manager who guided a team of average players to 8th place. Spurs are a better team but still full of over paid average joes. Somebody like Van Gal would have been ideal to bring some much needed transfer mussel to the club. Yes Pochettino plays a good attractive style of football similar to Rodgers but what did that get him. Spurs will still finish behind City, Chelsea and arsenal
