“I really look forward to working with Paul and the team at Penguin Ireland,” said the Leinster centre, who is currently on the sidelines injured. ”It is an exciting new challenge and one that I relish.”
Former Sunday Times writer, Kimmage, recently won the williamhill.com Irish Sports Book of the Year for his latest offering, Engage: The Fall and Rise of Matt Hampson.
Despite the preliminary work with the Ireland skipper, Kimmage told the Irish Independent‘s Hugh Farrelly that O’Driscoll’s book will not be out this side of the player’s retirement.
“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with Brian on his autobiography. Brian is a remarkable sportsman and has been an outstanding ambassador for Ireland both on and off the pitch.
“We expect this autobiography to be an enormous bestseller,” said Michael McLoughlin, MD, Penguin Ireland.
