THERE ARE FOUR candidates in the running to replace Brian Cuthbert as Cork senior football team manager.

Interviews for the position will take place in due course but county board officials now have the shortlist they were looking for.

“They’ll have to work through that and depending on the availability of candidates coming forward and meeting them for interviews, the process will be initiated.”
The appointments committee is made up of county board chairman Ger Lane, secretary Frank Murphy and three former All-Ireland SFC medallists, covering distinct eras.
John Coleman from Millstreet tasted Sam Maguire glory in 1973 and Ballingeary’s John O’Driscoll made substitute appearances in the 1989 and 1990 victories.
