Brendan Rodgers sick, will miss QPR clash

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been sent home from London with a bug.

BRENDAN RODGERS WILL miss Liverpool’s Premier League match against QPR due to an illness.

Rodgers was sent home from London along with goalkeeper Brad Jones and head of performance Glen Driscoll after the three came down with a bug.

“It was impossible for Brendan, Glen and Brad to attend the game,” club doctor Zaf Iqbal said.

“They are not fit to be at the match and any contact with the rest if the squad could cause the bug to spread to more of the playing staff.”

Assistant manager Colin Pascoe and first team coach Mike Marsh will take charge of the Reds in Rodgers’ absence for this afternoon’s game at Loftus Road.
