Barry Murphy is in action at the National Short Course Championships in Lisburn this weekend.

LONDON OLYMPIAN BARRY Murphy continues preparations for next month’s world championships when he defends his eight national short course titles in Lisburn this weekend.

Judging by the pic he tweeted this morning of his “paleo diet” breakfast — steak, eggs and tomato — he’s ready for the challenge.

Sycerika McMahon, European bronze medallist earlier this month, is also back in the water to defend the eight gold medals she won in 2011.

The three-day meet begins at the Lagan Valley Leisureplex today.
