Slaughtneil player broke his collarbone in that thunderous collision with Kieran Donaghy

You’d have to feel for Christopher Bradley.

THE SLAUGHTNEIL PLAYER involved in a ferocious shoulder-to-shoulder collision with Kieran Donaghy is a major injury doubt for the All-Ireland SFC Club final.

Christopher Bradley suffered a broken collarbone when Donaghy thundered into him towards the end of Sunday’s semi-final between the Derry champions and Austin Stacks.

Donaghy’s challenge was ruled a fair shoulder by referee David Gough, and Bradley was then penalised for fouling on the ball on the ground.

X-rays later showed that the centre-forward broke his collarbone when he landed awkwardly and he is expected to miss around six weeks, leaving him with a massive race to be fit for the St Patrick’s Day showpiece against Corofin.

Clearly a gulf in class but not a humiliation. Big amount of credit is due. Rovers’ run at this stage a few years ago ended in all defeats, but it was very creditable, most especially taking the lead at White Hart Lane. That was some night in London!!!! Hopefully Dundalk can do the same or even better. Nicking a victory would be outstanding. A credit to the League.
