Blanc will lead Les Bleus at this summer’s European Championships but has not committed to France beyond that point.
With the inexperienced Roberto di Matteo currently in the Blues’ hot-seat, Abramovich is looking for someone with a bit more pulling power in the transfer market, and the former Manchester United defender Blanc would fit that bill.
