BEN FLOWER HAS been found guilty of the RFL’s most serious disciplinary offence and banned for six months.
The Wigan Warriors prop was sent off in Saturday’s Super League Grand Final for throwing two punches which left his opponent Lance Hohaia with no recollection of the incident.
A tribunal today upheld a Grade F charge – “violent and aggressive punching/punching an off-guard opponent” — and banned Flower until 14 April 2015.
The 26-year-old is expected to miss 10 Super League games at the start of next season.
Hohaia pled guilty to a lesser charge for striking Flower initially and accepted a one-match ban.
