IRISH JOCKEY BARRY Geraghty will miss this month’s Galway Festival after breaking his right arm this afternoon.
The 36-year-old came off Cernunnos at the final fence of the Betfred Summer Plate Handicap Chase at Market Rasen and will now be out of action for up to three months.
“Barry has a fractured right humerus. He’s on his way home to Ireland and will have an operation on Monday. He’ll be out for two to three months., the Turf Club’s senior medical officer, Dr Adrian McGoldrick, said.
The Meath man will miss the upcoming Festival, which starts on 25 July.
