Beautiful Celta Vigo goal enough to see off Barcelona at Camp Nou

Even Messi, Neymar and Suarez couldn’t do it for Barca tonight.

BARCELONA HAVE LOST their place at the top of the La Liga table after slumping to a 1-0 defeat to Celta Vigo this evening.

After Real Madrid hammered Granada 4-0 earlier on today Barca needed a win to maintain their place at the top of the league but they couldn’t manage to do so, despite dominating the game.

The Catalans enjoyed 67 per cent of the possession and hit the bar four times but couldn’t manage to find the back of the net.

This beautifully worked 55th minute goal from Joaquin Larrivey was enough to see Celta Vigo leave the Camp Nou with three points. The assist from Nolito is superb.

Barca dominated from the rest of the game but couldn’t find an equaliser. This Lionel Messi free-kick was the fourth time the home side hit the bar in the 90 minutes.

Celta Vigo held on for the win though meaning tonight was the first time Barcelona have failed to score in a home La Liga match in three years. The last time that happened was 22 October 2011 against Sevilla.
