No more fireworks: Mario Balotelli joins AC Milan from Man City

The Italian striker is heading home to join AC Milan on a four-and-half year deal.

THE PREMIER LEAGUE  is a less colourful place this evening, ladies and gentlemen.

Mario Balotelli’s chequered career at champions Manchester City has come to an end.

The controversial Italian striker has reportedly signed for AC Milan in a four-and-a-half year deal thought to be worth around €20 million.

“Mario Balotelli to Milan, the player will come tomorrow for his medical and sign his contract,” the Milan Channel announced.

City paid Inter Milan £22 million  for the Azzurri striker in August 2010, but his time at the club has been peppered with controversy both on and off the pitch.
