ATLETICO MADRID’S STAR striker Radamel Falcao is reportedly a transfer target for big-spending Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain.
Falcao, 26, has been in impressive form for Liga side Atletico so far this season, netting 16 goals in 17 league matches.
The Colombia international has reportedly been a long-term target of English Premier League outfit Chelsea, but has expressed an interest in a potential switch to Ligue 1.
“France is a marvellous country,” he told Telefoot. “I’ve been there before, and I love it. PSG have a very ambitious sporting project and they’ve invested a huge amount of money to construct a competitive team. That will need time, but that could come very quickly.
“It’s not impossible that I could be meeting you (the French media) very soon.”

Meanwhile, the transfer saga involving Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder continues to drag on. The Netherlands international has been frozen out of the first team at San Siro after refusing to accept a pay cut, and is in negotiations with Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray. Sneijder is reportedly stalling on a decision, and is believed to be waiting for an English Premier League club to show interest.
“As far as Wesley Snejider is concerned, he has an important decision to make, a key passage in his career, so I think it’s normal for him to take the time he needs to consider if and which offers to accept,” Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni said.
Finally, Tottenham Hotspur have told Real Madrid they can have winger Gareth Bale, albeit for a hefty fee of 55 million pounds. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly resigned to losing the livewire Welshman, but is holding out for what would be a British record transfer fee.
The player has long been linked with a move to La Liga, and if reports are true, his increasingly excellent form this year appears to have sealed the move.
Going?
Highly rated Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could be on his way to Manchester United.
The player suggested as much on Twitter yesterday, saying: “Looks like I’m on my way to the top of the Premier League.”
The striker swiftly deleted the message and claimed to know nothing about the deal, but his subsequent actions did little to temper speculation that a move is about to happen.

Gary Hooper could be set to swap Champions League football for mid-table mediocrity.
The Celtic striker has been heavily linked with a move to Norwich of late, and Chris Hughton has admitted that his team could do with another striker.
Gone!
While it hasn’t been 100% confirmed, all the signals suggest Marseille’s Loic Remy will seal a move to Newcastle later this week.
Teammate Joey Barton inevitably broke the news of a pending deal prematurely on Twitter, wishing the striker good luck and adding:
“Don’t worry i’ve told him what to expect. Great guy. Perfect club for him.”
