KILKENNY STAR HENRY Shefflin yesterday made his much-anticipated first appearance for the Cats since he was forced out of last year’s All-Ireland Hurling final defeat against Tipperary.
Shefflin impressed as he lined out in a challenge game against Waterford in Tallow, scoring 0-08 in a 0-26 to 3-09 win.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time, and I’m more than happy at the way things went for me,” the Ballyhale Shamrocks man told the GAA‘s official website.
“Right now I’m not feeling any ill effects and hopefully I will stay injury free for all of the championship campaign.”
