O'Gara leads the tributes as Racing 92 pay their respects to Anthony Foley

The French side’s rescheduled Champions Cup fixture against Munster is taking place this afternoon.

MUNSTER HAVE RETURNED to Paris this afternoon for the first time since the untimely death of their head coach Anthony Foley on 16 October.

Foley passed away on the morning of what was due to be their opening fixture in this season’s European Champions Cup against Racing 92.

The game was rescheduled for this afternoon instead and the French club have shown their class by paying tribute to the late Munster legend.

Racing’s players and coaching staff, including former Munster out-half Ronan O’Gara, wore red Anthony Foley t-shirts during the warm-up, while supporters displayed banners.

The game kicked off following a minute’s applause for Foley.

Not seeing her club form in a green Jersey. I think a break from the captaincy and all the hype and media attention that brings would do her the world of good. Just get back to playing football for Ireland, as she is doing so well for Arsenal.

She’s such a magical player and an inspiration to so many young girls. I think she’s truly wonderful I would dearly love to meet her some day.
