EU court rules Apple must pay Ireland €13 billion in unpaid taxes after lengthy legal saga
The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is the highest court in the EU.
The court ruled that Ireland granted Apple unlawful aid which Ireland is now required to recover.
In a statement, the Irish Government said the funds will now be drawn down from an escrow fund.
EU Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said the case was a win for "European citizens and tax justice".
