Austrian footballers recreate Pires/Henry penalty with similar, disastrous result

If at first you don’t succeed…

ANYONE THAT EVER witnessed the epic fail that was the Thierry Henry/Robert Pires penalty pass routine will remember it with a wry grin.

The Arsenal teammates brought some training ground schtick to Highbury and got it badly wrong. Pires feigned to shoot but, instead, tipped a pass to Henry. The striker overran the ball and Manchester City hacked the ball clear. Football egg on French faces.

Stadl-Paura, from the Austrian fourth division, beat SK Altheim 5 — 1 this weekend but the game featured a clownish attempt to put right what the Arsenal lads got so, so wrong.
