The 20-year-old has survived two separate plane crashes which claimed the lives of his mother, father, stepmother, brother and sister.

On Monday night he made a free throw for the first competitive point of his college basketball career, and was later substituted to a huge ovation from his Wolverines team-mates and fans.
“I made a free throw in an exhibition with Wayne State but that doesn’t really count,” Hatch told MGoBlue.com.
“But I’m officially in the Michigan scorebook, and the Lord knows how close I came to never being in the Michigan scorebook. So, it’s pretty special.”
