Take 30 seconds to enjoy Austin Gleeson's brilliant solo goal against Cork

The 2016 Hurler of the Year had an interesting day in Croke Park.

IT WAS THE second goal in the space of a 90-second span that knocked Cork out of the All-Ireland senior hurling championship and sent Waterford into the final.

It might also be the goal of the season.

With 12 minutes remaining, and his side just two points clear of the Rebels, Austin Gleeson gained possession for the Déise with five Cork defenders between him and goal.

Though a pass looked the better option, nobody told the 2016 Hurler of the Year:

Of course, Gleeson may well be suspended for the final for pulling the helmet off Cork’s Luke Meade under the Hogan Stand after just 18 minutes.
