REAL MADRID MIDFIELDER Asier Illarramendi has apologised after a video emerged of running in front of a bull — while dressed as Batman.
The footage, which Spanish media report was taken at a festival in the Basque Country, shows Illarramendi dressed in costume and darting in front of the animal.
“We have an internal rule designed to prevent players going skiing and other dangerous things but I have never known it applied to bull fighting,” Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said.
“He has apologised and that’s that.”
Illarramendi, 24, was signed from Real Sociedad for €32 million last summer.
