Dublin to face Cork while Laois paired with Clare in All-Ireland hurling qualifier draw

Wexford and Tipperary have been given a bye into Round 2 of the qualifiers.

DUBLIN WILL FACE Cork while Laois have been paired with Clare in the Round 1 draw of the All-Ireland senior hurling qualifiers.

The draw was made on Morning Ireland after another weekend of hurling championship action which produced the pairings for the Leinster and Munster finals.

Dublin rallied from 16 points down against Kilkenny before bowing out of the Leinster championship at the weekend. They will take on a Cork side, whose defeat to Waterford was the Déise’s first Munster SHC win since 2016.

Clare were outgunned by Limerick at the Munster quarter-final stage last weekend, and will now prepare for a battle against a Laois outfit who succumbed to Dublin.

Wexford and Tipperary, who also lost out in their provincial ties, have been given a bye into Round 2 of the qualifiers as they were the two remaining teams after the Round 1 qualifier draw was completed.

The Round 1 fixtures are scheduled for the weekend of 7-8 November with the Round 2 fixtures set to take place on the weekend of 14-15 November.

Venues will be determined by the CCCC with the fixture details to be confirmed by this afternoon.

Sky Sports have confirmed they will carry live coverage of Dublin vs Cork, with throw-in at 3.45pm at a venue yet to be announced. It will be shown live on Sky Sports Mix, as part of a double-header with the Leinster football clash between Dublin and Westmeath.
