The Aoibheann’s Pink Tie logo — a charity which provides financial and practical support to children and their families battling cancer in Ireland — will replace the AIG logo on the Sky Blue jersey as a showing of support.

The men’s footballers will don the jersey in their final Super 8s game as they welcome Roscommon to Croke Park on Sunday 5 August.

David Herity’s camogie team will wear the limited-edition jersey that same weekend as they face Galway in their All-Ireland quarter-final in Páirc Uí Chaoimh while the ladies football kingpins will sport it in their last eight clash on 12 August.

AIG Ireland announced that they were donating the Dublin GAA jersey takeover to Aoibheann’s Pink Tie today with General Manager Declan O’Rourke saying:

“We hope that seeing the logo for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie on the Dublin jerseys will make more people aware of the great work Aoibheann’s Pink Tie are doing taking care of families with children diagnosed with cancer.”

Mick Rochford, co-founder of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie added: “Everyone at Aoibheann’s Pink Tie is extremely excited to see our logo on the front of the Dublin jerseys this summer.

“We are extremely grateful to AIG for their continued support and helping us create a greater awareness of the charity in Ireland”.
