Premier League stars on show in Dublin as Newcastle prove too strong for St Pat's

The travelling side scored a brace of goals to secure the result.

NEWCASTLE CAME AWAY with a 2-0 victory against St Patrick’s Athletic in their pre-season visit to Richmond Park.

Goals from Seán Longstaff and Christian Atsu secured the result for Rafael Benitez’s charges in front of an attendance of almost 5,000.

Longstaff gave the Magpies the lead at the end of the first half before Christian Atsu doubled their advantage in the 86th minute from the penalty spot.

St Pat’s are set to resume their SSE Airticity League campaign on Friday, when they are due to host Limerick FC (kick-off: 8pm).
